Kaihua County, an important ecosystem functional reserve, located in the source of Qiantang River which is mother river of Zhejiang province, and common boundary of Zhejiang, Anhui and Jiangxi province and seven counties, is a key communication hub of west Zhejiang, South Anhui and Northeast Jiangxi as well as a west door of Zhejiang. The county was established in the 6th year of Peaceful rejuvenating the country of earlier Song Dynasty, namely 981 A.D. nearly 1025 years ago. The Kaihua County located in the source of Qiantang River is not only a green land but also a red land, especially old generation of revolutionists, like Fang Zhimin, Guan Ying, Chen Yi and Su Yu, once leaving their battle footprint here.

China Root Art Root Expo Garden is the first poetry production base of western Zhejiang, National 4A Level Tourism Scenic Spot and National Cultural Demonstration Base, and is honored as the first Grand Garden and hometown of China root carving art.

After breakfast, driving to the old revolutionary base, Kaihua County for visiting Monuments of revolutionary martyrs in Yuping Park, Kaihua County (ticket free, nearly 1 hour) to cherish the memory of revolutionary martyrs and to review vows of “Heroic spirit stands on grand mountains and rigid rocks; Loyal soul lives with clear sky and bright moon; Heroes of the people are immortal!” Then driving to China Root Art Root Expo Garden which is National 4A Level Tourism Scenic Spot as well as World Root Art Center, (120/50，driving for 5 minutes, visiting 2 hours with guidance of 50 Yuan each group). There are all together more than 20 scenic spots within the garden, like auspicious door, cultural corridors of twelve Chinese zodiacs, Trees with spring garden, Qingyuan Garden, root carving Buddhist heaven and so on. It perfectly combined root art, sculpture art and botanical culture and other traditional culture and displayed the largest root art of 500 Luohan which is declaring World Guinness Report. Besides, according to statistics, more than 2000 giant root art works mainly covering 5 subjects, namely culture of Buddhism, region of Taoism culture, Confucianism, folk legend and historical figures.

After breakfast, driving along the national highway of 205 line for 0.5h to tour the holly and beautiful land of Fenglou resort located in the first lake of source of Mother River, Qiantang River, visiting maple floor and board cliff, Qianlongtan, Luohan mediation, Tianti waterfall, Jiyou lake, playing in river, viewing waterfall, praying and experiencing landscape and scenery (50/35, about 1.5h tour visit, guidance fee of 50 Yuan each group). In addition, you can also have a taste of Kaihua specialty in water and lake villa and then take a back journey.
